He has provided play-by-play and color commentary for Power 4, mid-major, and low-major conferences and institutions nationwide, accumulating over 25 Conference Championship events and appearances across the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, Women’s National Invitation Tournament, NCAA Men’s College Cup, and NCAA Women’s College World Series.

Jerry has demonstrated exceptional versatility behind the microphone and in front of the camera, calling action across fifteen sports disciplines — including men’s and women’s basketball, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, track and field, rowing, fencing, baseball, softball, volleyball, field hockey, and wrestling. He has also served as host of a weekly coach’s radio show and emceed community events ranging from Special Olympics ceremonies to charity auctions.

In addition to his work with Division I institutions, Jerry’s talents have been utilized by major sports network-owned digital platforms and other prominent rights holders. His responsibilities have included voicing and producing commercials and promotional content for broadcast sponsors and partners.

Jerry’s career began in college, where he served simultaneously as a color analyst and play-by-play announcer for high school football and basketball, worked in his university’s Sports Information Department, and hosted multiple programs at the campus radio station. He also contributed as a sports anchor and entertainment reporter for his school’s weekly television program. Before graduation, Jerry was already serving as morning sports anchor at a local radio cluster, occasionally hosting regional sports talk programming.

His involvement in NCAA Power 4 championship events dates to 2006, with Division I Olympic Sports coverage beginning in 2005. While women’s basketball remains his primary calling, Jerry has served as a backup announcer for men’s college basketball across all competitive levels. He has additionally worked as a public address announcer for speedway events and across multiple Minor League Baseball seasons.

Beyond traditional sports media, Jerry has channeled his broadcast expertise into voiceover and scriptwriting services for numerous viral social media channels.

Personal Passions

Monaco

Though born and raised in Virginia, Jerry made his first international trip in 1997 and has since visited 42 countries across the globe. Abroad, he enjoys exploring local cafés, engaging with residents, and taking in international sporting events — including matches from the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.

Jerry is equally at home on a long road trip, in a business class cabin, or in an airport lounge overlooking the tarmac. He is drawn to hotels with sweeping views of the water and to any opportunity that creates space to live fully and travel intentionally. He places deep value on authentic friendship — the kind most often discovered far from home.

Jerry proudly became a dual citizen in August 2022, an achievement that reflects his long-held commitment to optionality and personal freedom.

In September 2025, Jerry expanded his speaking platform beyond sports broadcasting when he addressed a global audience of hundreds of elite entrepreneurs, business leaders, and freedom seekers at a worldwide conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He looks forward to building on that experience through future engagements on the international stage.
